San Diego was our next stop after Los Angeles. We arrived mid-afternoon and had a pleasant, lazy day to roam the port. San Diego is a very tranquil atmosphere compared to LA. The city is very clean and well kept. In general, the people I encountered here were friendly and peaceable.

Chris and I split up almost right away. I circled town, photographing cool buildings and plants. I also took a nap in a grassy park, treated myself to frozen yogurt and met two travelers from Tuscon Arizona. They said they were heading for LA.

We didn’t spend long exploring, spending most of our stay in San Diego preparing for our trip to Mexico, but I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I took this picture in honor of a certain relative who is irreversibly obsessed with bridges, and no doubt reading this blog. Get a “load” of this:

  1. When I was young I had the chance to go to San Diego. It was an awesome place to explore. Mostly I enjoyed body surfing in the ocean.
