Bayou Blues

The Louisiana bayou is an amazing place, dominated by bald cypress and water. People always talk about stuff sinking into the swamp, well the bayou itself is sinking! Due to human impacts on the Mississippi, Louisiana’s land is slowly being claimed by the water. The swamp is sinking into the swamp.

We stayed in Louisiana for a couple of days, attending a Tae Kwon Do class in Gonzales, wandering around New Orleans and exploring the bayou. At this point, we were running low on funds, and decided the best course of action would be to return home.

After way too much driving, we made it back home. This takes the throne for best trip I’ve ever been on, but the adventure always continues! Thank you readers!
